How do I share a URL or link to an article in the CINAHL database?
When you’re using an article or e-book database, the regular URL (copied from the web address field at the top of your browser window) often won’t work for anyone else. Put another way, it’s often what's known as “session dependent” and will be different for every user.
If you want to share a link you need what's known as a "permanent URL" or "persistent link". Accessing them varies from database to database.
In the case of EBSCO databases (like CINAHL) a permanent URL to the record is provided in the bottom-right of the full citation view under a link called the "Permalink".
See the attached file image for further clarification.
Click on the persistent link below for the instructions for adding a "persistent link" or "permanent URL".
